This site was created to educate and empower Nevadans living in over 3,800 common interest communities (HOAs) comprising more 608,000 units- half the state's 1.3 million homeowners. The Nevada HOA Reform Coalition believes knowledge is power. As such we are committed to providing the resources and tools to learn Nevada's HOA laws, the associated regulatory environment, and owner rights.
Once empowered, as our name indicates, our mission is to use a collective voice advocating for reforms as we and the HOAs we live in evolve.
WELCOME TO NEVADA HOA REFORM COALITION

Homeowners associations (HOAs) can have a significant impact on almost every part of owning a home. The extent of an HOA’s influence varies between communities. Some associations maintain a light touch, focusing primarily on maintaining common areas and enforcing basic standards. Others control nearly all aspects of your property’s appearance and usage. The variation makes it critical to learn the environment of your home, your HOA's rules, finances, and management before purchasing then staying engaged once invested to ensure community members elected to govern the community are held accountable.
WHAT WE DO
We are not attorneys and provide no legal advice. We can help you understand the rights you retain in these communities and over your home under the law. If you have questions about your Declaration (CC&R’s), Bylaws or about current state law we can help you understand their content and restriction. All of our support is done with volunteers and there are no fees associated with our support.
We are committed to educating and empowering Nevada HOA homeowners. Our passion drives us to ensure that every member is aware of their rights and is equipped to advocate for fair and just HOA policies.
Our mission is twofold. First, assist Nevadans in finding the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate the complex landscape of HOA home ownership, regulations and governance. Second, bring a collective voice to Nevadans living in HOAs. We seek to raise awareness of the challenges and advocate for HOA reforms that benefits owners- not the interests of the HOA industry.
